January scouts went to lower Verde river
We have a large group of boy scouts and when we go somewhere it is a major project. Several cars and additional leaders make quick work of the trip though. In January we went to the lower Verde river. We camped overnight and the scouts play games and ran off most of their dinner. In the morning we hiked along the bank of the Verde played in the trees skipped rocks, and just had a good time.

April Camporee, getting the traditional picture.
April we had a Camporee and went out near Maricopa and camped at Christmas camp, this is where the Mormon Battalion camped in about 1846 on Christmas day. We hiked part of the trail that was made, and was used by the Butterfield stage for a while.
