June 29 2009 I decided that since it was my birthday and Disney is FREE on your birthday ( log into disney.go.com, I think) and they will send you an email certificate so you can get in. I would take my friend John, who has never been there, and we would have a blast. We had a blast, with a button on saying happy birthday, everyone of the Disney people greeted you with Happy Birthday, Mike, and it may be just coincidence but most every ride we were in the front, whoo hoo. First stop the train, and on to adventure land, after two rides the Pirates of the Caribbean and the Haunted Mansion, we were greeted by Dusty and Rachael and crew, who all sang me happy birthday. We rode Splash Mountain with them hung out a little bit, and since we were slowing them down the proceeded on with their day. John and I wandered around, rode whatever ride we wanted, looked at things, talked with lots of people, hung out with Jasmine and Aladdin, took in a Jedi training exercise show. Then one of the best things happened, we got on the Matterhorn, took the ride and when we got back to the station, our car was pulled out of the rotation for a few minutes, then the ride operator asked us if we wanted to go again, DUH! absolutely we did, and we did, too cool. Our original plan was to stay till the fireworks and the Fantasia water show, but some how after being up since 3 a.m. we were getting tired and when that 7 o'clock hour hit we were ready to head for home, but two last rides, Space Mountain, and Indiana Jones, what a way to end the day, probably the most fun rides. Finally the trip home and seems like it took a little longer then going there, we got home at 4 a.m. and after 2 1/2 hours of sleep, time to go back to work. wow what a long day that was but well worth every bit of it.
