It was a cool change for Mesa on the 4th, cloudy and overcast and with a few sprinkles thrown in for good measure.
Monday was nearly 110 degrees, and Wednesday, was only in the mid 90's.
No burgers on the grill, but we did have tacos, tamales and re fried beans.
We decided to break out the hand crank freezer and make some ice cream. First had to reassemble the bucket, Arizona heat drys the wood and it shrinks and the bucket collapses. Then a good soak to get it back together.
Our philosophy here is:
If you don't churn, you don't earn.
so everyone gets a chance to put in a little effort and reap the benefit's of their labor.

Sonic Ice works pretty well.
Every one participated and it is always a good time to talk and remember being kids on 6th ave. and taking our turn to churn.

There is a little left, but it wont last to long.
