ATV Jamboree Day 5
Friday on our own.
Mike, Dusty, Rachael, Paul, and John
On Friday we were unable to go on the selected ride, the Razor was to wide for part of the trail, so we headed out on our own and took a ride From Fremont Indian Museum up the mountain.
at 10,000 feet elevation we were at Winkler point. This is where we took this photo.
Seems that I always take a picture of this mill, it was built in 1920 to replace the one that had burned down. There was a big gold mine in these mountains, and a now gone town of Kimberly.
I am not sure if this was a mill for gold or lumber, the wood was used for the mines.

Another picture from Winkler point, Dusty and Rachael

This is why the jamboree is the 3rd week of Sept. The leaves are usually starting to change.

More of Rachael, getting ready to take a picture of Mike.
It is fun to have extra family with us as we enjoy the mountains and the trail riding in Utah.
These are only a sample of the pictures that we have taken. There are thousands of miles of trails on the Paiute trail system, we have ridden lots of them and there is a wide variety climates and terrain. the Kimberly mountains and the Tushars are among my favorites. They have the most variety of trees and colors, along with stream crossings. Start planning now for the 2010 trip to Utah, we can always plan our own rides and what we would want to look at.
