Took our little archeologist to the Lower Cliff Dwellings near Roosevelt Lake. Ben, Julia and I drove to the visitor's center last spring break, but it was cold, rainy and the clouds were low enough we couldn't see how far the ruins were. So today, Paul, Emilee, Ben, Julia and I went for a ride to go exploring. Just above the visitor's center, up a paved path about 1/4 of a mile is some small ruins. They have upper ruins but you have to make an appointment to see them only during certain times of the year. It was interesting, some place I could probably bring grand children to and wear them out. Mostly it was a good ride to take this morning. I was plesantly surprised to find that they would let us walk inside what's left of the buildings.

That looks like so much fun. Sometimes I miss being able to just take a drive somewhere.

It looks like you are missing a child with only 4 in the picture.. is that how all the other siblings felt when they left?

Shawn and Summer would love to go there!
Note to Cristal... my presence never left.
You'll always be here, even when you move away.

The family you're responsible for sure is shrinking!
