The day that would never come, has come and passed. Dad passed away Feb 24, 2009. He left us with lots of memories and challenges. Sometime in the last week he went to Budapest, and I am sure that he found a train to ride, and found the hiden cafe to eat at, and did this by only using back roads. Dad we Love you thanks for the example you are for us.
God be with you till we meet again,
Keep love's banner floating o'er you,
Smite death's threat'ning wave before you,
God be with you till we meet again.
Till we meet, till we meet,
Till we meet at Jesus' feet,
Till we meet, till we meet,
God be with you till we meet again.
Hymn 152

Arrived at the crematorium on Ash Wednesday, good one Dad. How many more jokes have you left for us to find?

Just adding my 2 cents. I thought I would like to sing this after all is said and done outside, but I just can't get through it. So I guess I'll just add it to Mikie's thoughts.
There was one time Rachael and me went to the cabin together when I was pregnant with Mason, and Grandpa told us some shortcut back to the valley.... We turned on a dirt road and were on our way. It seemed like we were on the road forever and we were beginning to wonder if we were lost and what we would do with three small children in the middle of nowhere. But when we had lost all hope of finding people again there was the highway he said would be there!! Funny how your post made me think of that.

Sounds good for us too. Maybe we'd better check and make sure it's still there. Just for information, the word verification is achoma, (a coma)?
so sad that peter's budapest is GONE. must mean we're supposed to go to some other budapest.

just means we have to take a trip, may have to make a detour through alaska
Should we try again for the Alaska bus trip, Survivor style? See who actually makes it to Alaska, and who gets voted off along the way?

Would you vote off the smelliest people first, or the grumpiest?
Mike (and Ginger), We are so sorry for the loss of your father. That is a hard one to go through. Let us know if there is anything we can do for you.
Love ya,
VerLynn and Jill
