I guess we do have a few traditions. Every year theTemple asks for volunteers to help set up and take down the lights on the visitor center grounds. This has been the way I've chosen to celebrate my birthday. Anyone who was home on that day was invited to go too. This year's assignment was the tree on the north side of the visitor center entrance. It was quite a bit taller than the one we have at home. Thank goodness for a tall husband and sons. The lights were giving us a little bit of a challenge, but Michael patiently checked each bulb, (no small task) on the portion that wasn't working. Until finally it was perfect. Happy 48th to me!!!

I'll have to remember to make a special stop at that tree this year. I love the Christmas lights!
