Snow!

Ok so maybe not really snow, but it was not hail, it was still slushy in texture, and it did not come down in flakes. I guess it would technically be sleet.
Any how Feb 27th this happened in Mesa AZ, the Superstition Mountains were snow covered about 2/3 of the way down and Four Peaks was covered with snow also.
Outside barefoot trying to catch snow flakes on his tongue.
I don't know who raised this one.

Live Laugh Love

Only 2 years have passed since Dad passed away.
It does not seem like it has been that long,
the memories are still fresh in my mind of him.
Although it has been hard to find answers for all the trivial questions
and for the technical questions as well.
The example that he set for how to live, laugh, and love are etched into all of us.
Two years later the hole that had been left is still there, his shoes are big ones to fill.
 We continue on the
traditions, groundhog day, valentines day,  etc.

We have laughed when we were together, I think that is how we kept it together,
and we cried when we were by ourselves.
The mornings of Belgium waffles are gone, but the smell of waffles bring back a flood of memories.
So many things still remind us of Dad, and I see more of him in gestures that I make.
The Love that he left us is forever, and we will have him with us always in our hearts.
I hope that I can be like him and continue on his legacy that he left us.

Traditions

Everyone knows about the candy grams. All of our children love them. Well this year we shopped a day early for the candy bars and paper. We thought we were ahead. Oh, no!

We decided to have the children over for dinner. Sorry, the lazagna wasn't up to par and the bread way too tough. Good thing the company made up for that and the delisious desert. Maybe next month I'll cook a little better. After the ham net we decided to crawl into bed when I started looking for a book and lo and behold. Bags of candy!!!! 10:30 and Michael is doing the creative thing.

It was fun and he does well on the spur of the moment. Twice yesterday in fact. 1st during Sacrament meeting when the speakers ran short and he shared a thought tying the drafting of Nascar and the Saturday race results to how if we draft with Christ he will carry us across the finish line. I don't do it justice. And the 2nd one with the candy grams.

I'm such a blessed girl to have such a man in my life. Love him!!!!
