Flowers everywhere!

Yesterday, I woke up quite sick to my stomach. The problem with this was that I had a long list of things to do. After lying in bed for two hours waiting ( sadly I was done sleeping) for the waves to subside, I finally asked Michael for some pepto. It brought me to a point where I was up and about.
Emilee took me for a ride and we picked up the few items we needed to hang my curtains that had been sitting in the family room for nearly a month. I got started and then stripped a screw and couldn't get it back out of the ceiling. Michael to the rescue. I was sitting on the bedroom floor thinking about other options to get around the problem when he just came in and muscled it right out. Then he helped me with the rest of the project. Here we are. I was going to get a new comforter but why not just flip the old one over. Then Dawn gave me this picture, it doesn't clash like the orange one did. Wahla. Our $150 make over. That was just fabric. The curtains are wall to wall with black out. I asked Michael if the flowers were too much. He said "What flowers?" I just love him.

Race Update

Race time was delayed by 30 minutes, but then we were off.
I love to drive and in Utah there are two sections of freeway where the speed limit is 80 mph. So fun, but we were still being passed. The red car did reach the apartment first but only because the white care yielded because of lack of knowledge of the road course. We arrived at 3:00 pm. Then Michael and I took off for Salt Lake City and and the Priesthood session of conference. Yes, I know, I'm not a priesthood holder but it was a great opportunity to take pictures of the temple and the surrounding area. Do you know that about 30 minutes after the session starts most people have gone to dinner or are inside and it is great for taking pictures without people in them. Here are a few samples.

The people Cristal nannies for were away for the weekend, so they said we could crash at their house. In the morning we woke to find both race cars blanketed in light snow. There also was some light snow flurries still falling from the sky. We thought it was great. The rest of the world seemed to still be sleeping. We left for our return trip after saying our good byes to Cristal about 7:30 am. The roads were clear and the snow fresh so the ride seemed to be through a white wonderland. We stopped a few more times and took more pictures. We're just desert rats you know.

Girls with their smiles enjoying the snow.

We took Hwy 89 home and passed by my dream house. I hadn't seen it in the snow before. When I asked who wanted to move here with me, silence. It is kind of remote and the house would have to be demolished and rebuilt totally. Still it was beautiful and peaceful.

We stopped at Emilee's favorite temple. Manti. We took pictures here also. The flowers had a light sprinkling of snow. This temple reminds me of a castle.

Home at 8:15. Unpacked and had dinner by 9:00 and in bed at 10:00.
Hardly seems like we were gone at all, except I don't feel quite rested and Michael and Julia are having problems getting their ears to clear.
Take care Cristal.
We love you.
Happy Easter.
